ADAM FORRESTER

Born and raised in Phenix City, Alabama, Adam Forrester is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker whose credits include A CRISIS OF SUBSTANCE (2023), JARED DAWSON IS THE CHURCH OF LAVONIA ELBERTON (2023), SOME MILLION MILES (2019), and ARCHIVE (2018). His documentary film work has been distributed via PBS across the US, and screened at DOC NYC, IFF Boston, ATL Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, indie grits, Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Sheffield Doc/Fest and elsewhere.

PRODUCER
ARTEMIS FANNIN

Artemis Fannin produces films that uniquely amplify marginalized voices. She is an alumna of the 2024 Sundance Women to Watch Adobe Fellowship, the Southern Producers Lab and the Sundance Producers Intensive 2023. Artemis produced  the PBS American Experience/371 Productions documentary American Coup: Wilmington 1898, which was nominated for a Peabody Award. Additional credits include serving as Associate Producer on the independent films Acts of Reparation and Love, Joy & Power: Tools For Liberation.  Earlier in her career, Artemis served as Associate Producer on the Food Network lifestyle series The Secret Life Of... Her first independent project as a co-producer, Kickin' Chicken for the American Film Institute, portrays a young woman’s struggle with addiction and won the HBO Short Film Award.

LAURA ASHERMAN

Laura Asherman is an Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker, stop-motion animator, and educator based in Atlanta. Blending documentary and fiction, her recent films use hybrid storytelling techniques to explore interpersonal relationships and the Anthropocene with a sense of humor. She earned her MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts from Duke University in 2023 and now serves as Director of Ethics and the Arts and instructor of film at Emory University. Laura’s films have screened at New Orleans, Riverrun, Cucalorus, Sidewalk, Maryland, Phoenix, and the Atlanta Jewish Film Festivals. She has contributed to films on PBS, Hulu, VICE.

JEFF JAY

Jeff Jay is an Editor / Partner at Hero Post in Atlanta, Georgia. His most recent editing work can be seen in the Oscar Shortlisted film, MAKAYLA’S VOICE: A LETTER TO THE WORLD (2024), now available on Netflix. He has worked at studios such as Whitehouse Post in New York and Beast Atlanta, where he was a founding editor. He has also worked on commercial projects with film and television directors such as Toby Haynes (ANDOR, BLACK MIRROR, SHERLOCK) and Matt Smukler (WILD FLOWER).
